Man Suffers Serious Injuries After Being Shot In Brockton Friday Night

BROCKTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A man was taken to the hospital after a shooting in Brockton on Friday night.

The Enterprise reports that investigators believe the shooting happened sometime before 8:30 p.m. on the city's West side outside 23 Ellsworth Avenue.

The victim, a 33-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital with a gunshot wound -- and was later transported by medical helicopter to a Boston hospital for more treatment.

His injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, and the shooting is still under investigation.
