Masks Come Off At TD Garden On Saturday

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The TD Garden is dropping its mask police, effective Saturday. The venue announced the change on Tuesday night, saying it was aligning with the City of Boston's decision to drop its own indoor mask mandate.

The Garden said it is following guidance from the CDC — it said masks are highly recommended for those who are at high risk from COVID, but not required.

The news comes after the venue dropped its vaccine mandate on Feb 21. As with the vaccine mandate, the Garden warned that individual artists and events that come to the venue may have their own health and safety requirements.

The Celtics will take on Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets in their first mask-optional game at the Garden on Sunday afternoon.
