QIUNCY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — It's usually a big night for sports bars in Massachusetts, but not when it's the middle of a pandemic and a snow storm.
Despite having nearly 50 TV's inside The Fours Restaurant & Sports Bar in Quincy, manager Tom Colton said he doesn’t expect a big crowd for this year's Super Bowl.
"It's a big house party night," he said. "Then obviously [with] the pandemic, it'll probably be quieter than a typical Super Bowl would be. And then, if you add the snow storm on top of it, that'll provably be another detriment to people coming in."
Colton said he does think they’ll reach the 25 percent capacity allowed by the state.
On a personal note, he said he agrees with Governor Baker that Pats fans should root for Tom Brady's new team tonight.
"[Brady] gave us 20 years of six championships and excellent football," Colton said. "So I'm going to keep rooting for him now. Hopefully he gets the win."
No matter how many people show up on Sunday night, Colton said every one of the TV's at The Fours will be playing the Super Bowl.
