Massachusetts Gas Prices Fall Below National Average

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Gas prices in Massachusetts are now lower than the national average for the first time in months.

According to AAA, the average price of regular unleaded gas in Massachusetts is $3.32 per gallon. This is three cents below the national average of $3.35 per gallon.

For individual counties, AAA reports that Hampden and Bristol counties have the lowest average gas prices in the state at $3.18 per gallon. The highest counties are Dukes at $4.47 per gallon and Nantucket at $4.80 per gallon.

Gas prices in Massachusetts have been on a steady decline in recent weeks. They peaked last summer when they reached a record high of $5.05 per gallon on June 12, 2022.
