QUINCY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — MBTA officials confirm the employee killed in a "tragic accident" involving a bus at Quincy Center Station was 45-year-old Sanyi Harris of Brockton.
Transit officials announced the death on Saturday night, hours after a bus had crashed into two parked cars at the Quincy Center Station busway, causing much of the station to be blocked off for hours.
The owner of the car that was hit said she left work and walked over to find an unconscious woman laying on the ground. Around 20 evidence markers were seen near the bus, along with some scattered articles of clothing.

"Today the MBTA is mourning the loss of one of our colleagues who suffered a fatal injury during a tragic accident involving an MBTA bus at the Quincy Center Station busway," MBTA's General Manager Steve Poftak said in a statement.
MBTA Transit Police sent their condolences to the victim's family.
Witnesses told WBZ NewsRadio's Chris Fama the front of the bus hit Harris as it rolled forward into two parked cars, pinning her underneath. First responders freed her but she did not survive.
While questions still remain about exactly how and why the incident happened, police investigators said foul play is not suspected.
