LAWRENCE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – Lawrence High School got a special visit from two members of the United States military Wednesday.
Medal of Honor recipients Army Sergeant First Class, Sammy Davis, and Sergeant Major Matt Williams stepped out of a Black Hawk helicopter that landed at the school’s baseball field to greet students and staff.
Inside the auditorium, the two men answered questions from students like Katy Ucles, a senior in the junior ROTC program.

Sgt. Williams hoped his story of serving in Afghanistan would inspire the future generation.
“We as a nation invest a lot in our young people who continue to step and are willing to serve,” he said. “That just shows the fortitude and the patriotism and the greatness of America.”
