CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Cambridge has become a very popular place for millennials to live.

According to a study from SmartAsset, using U.S. Census Bureau data, the number one city where millennials are moving to the most is Cambridge.

Santa Clara, California and Seattle come in second and third place.

Boston ranks 18th on the list.

Millennials who moved into Cambridge last year represent 15% of the city's population.

Total millennials as a percentage of population in Cambridge comes in at a whopping 37.7%.

Cambridge was also named the number-one best U.S. city to live in earlier this year, so it's not surprising that it tops the list with millennials.

SmartAsset says it used data for 268 cities pulled from the Census Bureau’s 1-year American Community Survey for 2022 to determine where people ages 25 to 44 had migrated.

The study then ranked the cities based on the rate at which millennials moved in as a percentage of the total population.
