More Mass. Residents Become Eligible For COVID Vaccine Monday

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Over 850,000 Massachusetts residents will become eligible to make a COVID-19 vaccine appointment starting on Monday.

This group includes people over 60, along with essential workers who work at restaurants, grocery stores, public health and public work, transit and sanitation workers, and more.

On April 5, residents 55 and older and those with one existing medical condition will be eligible.

Vaccines will be available to all residents 16 and older on April 19.

According to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, as of Saturday more than 2.8 million people have received at least one dose of the vaccine and 1,045,167 people have been fully vaccinated.
