BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Several Massachusetts towns and cities have told non-essential businesses they should close in order to allow for more social distancing.
According to WHDH, Cambridge, Lawrence and Reading have all told businesses that if employees are unable keep six feet away from customers, they need to shut down
The Patriot Ledger reports all "personal care" businesses like tattoo parlors, spas, salons, and gyms were ordered to close in Quincy on Thursday.
Health Departments in Duxbury, Norwell Marshfield and Pembroke have also ordered businesses to close up shop amid the coronavirus pandemic, in order to maintain safe levels of social distancing.
This follows Somerville, where officials asked businesses to shut their doors last week.
