NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Someone in New Bedford is looking for their lost peacock. New Bedford Police said the showy bird appeared near the intersection of Acushnet Avenue and Marlborough Street on Tuesday.

The peacock has bright blue and green plumage with an orange underbelly. Westport Animal Control also reported a missing peacock out of Middletown, R.I. on Monday. They confirmed to WBZ NewsRadio that it was a different bird than the one in New Bedford.

Several residents said the bird might be Floyd, a peacock that went missing out of Acushnet last year.
