BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Students at the Boston Design Academy got a special visit from a legendary voice actor Thursday.

Peter Cullen, the voice of many iconic characters like Optimus Prime and Eeyore, held a special seminar with students attending the academy. He got the opportunity to offer advice and inspiration to the students in attendance, and even talk to some older fans who love his.

Cullen told WBZ's Madison Rogers he did not realize how much he meant to kids until the internet came around, and now he's just trying to catch up.

"I'm new to this game," he said. "I don't know anything about technology, I just do sounds."

Students at the Boston Design Academy get the chance to learn about different tech design skills to help foster creativity and prepare them for future jobs in the technology sphere. Thursday's lecture was geared toward students interested in digital art and movie magic.
