BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron is the latest Bruins player to placed in the NHL's COVID protocol. The team made the announcement on Wednesday.
Bergeron joins Brad Marchand and Craig Smith on the list. Head Coach Bruce Cassidy returned to the team on Monday.

The outbreak on the Bruins is, so far, not as bad as some other teams. The NHL has pulled the entire Calgary Flames program from competing in games or even practicing until at least December 18, and the team outbreak has now grown to 27 people.

The Bruins played the Flames this past Saturday. They'll play the New York Islanders on Thursday and then head to Canada without Marchand, Bergeron or Smith to play Montreal and the Ottawa Senators.
