Real Christmas Trees In High Demand At Pop-Up Near Fenway Park

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Apart from everyone wearing a mask, you’d never know the city is in a pandemic by the joy and happiness at Weston Nurseries pop-up Christmas tree shop by Fenway Park.

"I picked out my first tree in my first home with my lovely boyfriend," local resident Allie said. "It's beautiful, and I'm just excited to get in the Christmas spirit."

Melissa Frank with Weston Nurseries said people couldn’t wait to get their Christmas trees this year.

"Because it's been different for a lot of folks, they actually started buying earlier, and with so much more enthusiasm," Frank said. "It's been wonderful, it's been literally a Christmas party every single day."

Christmas trees may be in short supply this year, but Frank said because they’ve been in business for nearly 100 years, Weston Nurseries has more than enough for the season ahead.
