Roxbury Student Brings Loaded Gun To School In Fanny Pack, Police Say

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Officers said they responded to Dearborn STEM Academy Monday morning on reports of a student in possession of a firearm.

According to police, arriving officers were brought to the security office of the school where faculty had secured the loaded gun that was found in the student's fanny pack.

The BPD said they arrested the 16-year-old male juvenile of Hyde Park, charging him with Delinquent to Wit Possession of a Firearm on School Property, Delinquent to Wit Possession of Ammunition, and Delinquent to Wit Possession of a Loaded Firearm.

Officials said that the student is expected to be arraigned at Boston Juvenile Court.
