BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren has tested positive with a breakthrough case of COVID-19. The senator reported the case on Sunday evening. Warren said she is already fully vaccinated and boosted, and said she was only experiencing mild symptoms.

Warren said she is "grateful for the protection provided against serious illness that comes from being vaccinated & boosted." Warren said she gets tested weekly. Fellow Democratic Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) also tested positive for the virus on Sunday, also with mild symptoms, and said he was thankful for his vaccines and booster shot.

"I’m certain that without them I would be doing much worse," he said.
