QUINCY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Severe weather is moving through the region today into tonight.

Along with the heavy rain and strong thunderstorms in the forecast, flood warnings have been posted in parts of Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

There were even tornado warnings posted in Middlesex and Worcester Counties.

The turbulent conditions extend to the ocean as rip current warnings are up on much of Cape Cod and the Islands.

Meanwhile, residents have already been feeling waterlogged from all of the rain we've had so far this season. And with more in the forecast, this South Shore resident said 'Enough already.'

"I work outside all summer, and we've had rain just about every day," he said. Being on the South Shore, he said residents take flood warnings very seriously. "Ocean, ocean, ocean..... it's coastal all around here."

Another South Shore resident mentioned how it's been a 'summer to forget' due to all of the severe weather, the flooding, and the heat. And don't forget how all of the rain has caused beach closures due to high bacteria. "Summer has become almost unbearable."

WBZ's Chris Fama (@CFamaWBZ) reports.
