State Expands Vaccine Eligibility to 65+, Those With 2+ Comorbidities

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) – The Baker Administration announced the expansion of COVID vaccine eligibility into the next step of the state's rollout. Individuals aged 65 and older, and those with two or more comorbidities on a state list, can get vaccinated as early as Thursday, February 18.

The medical conditions include moderate-to-severe asthma, chronic kidney disease, Down syndrome, as well as smoking and obesity.

The Administration said more than 70,000 vaccine appointments would be available at the state's mass vaccination sites as of Feb. 18.
