TEWKSBURY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — On Friday afternoon, the Tewksbury Police Department said they responded to a robbery report in the parking lot outside Walmart on Main Street.

The TPD said in a statement on Tuesday that the responding officers spoke with a man who said an unidentified man and woman approached him, starting a conversation. According to the victim, the woman handed him a small amount of money and some jewelry, saying that they were "gifts." But immediately after, the victim said the woman grabbed the gold chain and pendant he was wearing and ripped it off his neck. The suspects then fled the scene on foot, and entered what police believe could be a blue, hatchback Mazda CX-5.

Police posted a photo of the suspected vehicle on Facebook.
