(Sunday Macaroni/Carmelina's North End)
BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Three restaurants in Massachusetts have made it to Yelp's list of 100 Places To Eat In 2020.
One of the restaurants, Carmelina's, came in at number 49. Carmelina's is located in Boston's North End on Hanover Street and has been open since 2012. It serves Sicilian-Mediterranean food.
"This place lives up to the great hype of the yelp world. Chianti and pasta were amazing. When they were making my Frutti di Mare, I watched them make Sunday Macaroni and I instantly regreted [sic] not getting it," Alex S. said in his rave review about Carmelina's. "After I had my meal however I realized that I would have never finished the Sunday Macaroni and my pasta was absolutely delicious."
Pruller Restaurant (number 76) in Malborough serves an array of meats and Brazilian food, buffet style. "Great quality food value," Mike N. wrote on Yelp. "More important I felt like I was at a good neighbors home, and they wanted to make sure I left happy, full and satisfied. Bravo!"
Coming in 78 on the list was JJ's Caffe in Brockton. JJ's is more of a breakfast spot, with popular dishes such as banana bread french toast, corned beef hash casserole, and salmon eggs Benedict. They are only open during breakfast and brunch hours—7 a.m. to 3 p.m.—and they are closed Mondays.
"We ordered the hangover Benedict, shrimp cake Benedict, and a side order or the banana bread French toast. Everything was so flavorful. The shrimp cake had a lot of big chunks of shrimp. The French toast was like a breakfast bread pudding. So good!" Likha S. wrote on Yelp.
Only one restaurant from Massachusetts made it to Yelp's top 100 list in 2019.
