BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Travelers at Logan Airport are expressing frustration after JetBlue and several other airlines canceled dozens of flights over the weekend and into Monday.

JetBlue canceled at least 70 flights over the weekend because of severe weather in areas of the southeast like Florida and multiple air traffic control delay programs. The airline said the cancelations will allow them to reset operations and move planes and crews back into place to resume normal operations.

Airlines like Southwest, Spirit, and American Airlines also had to cancel or delay dozens of flights around the country because of weather, along with mechanical and staffing issues. However, over half of the flights canceled at Logan were JetBlue.

"Yesterday was total panic, we didn't know what we were going to do," one traveler told WBZ's James Rojas. "We checked it on his phone every hour."

Daneil Sarrouf, a traveler at Logan who had her flight delayed by a day, said it wasn't just the passengers that got impacted by delays and cancelations.

"Even the flight attendants flew from Florida and they said they had been waiting there since yesterday to leave," she said.
