GRANVILLE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — State Police say two people are dead after a car careened off the road in Granville on Saturday morning. Police said the single-vehicle crash on Old Westfield Road resulted in the death of both the driver and a passenger.

The car was discovered 30 feet into the woods and appeared to have been there for some time when police arrived at around 7:30 AM.

An early investigation showed that Justyn Trempe of Granville was driving the car sometime before 6:00 A.M when the car swerved off the roadway, for unknown reasons. Trempe was discovered, dead, when Troopers arrived.

Trempe’s passenger, James Novak, also of Granville, was found to be deceased as well.

Granville Fire and EMS, as well as Granville PD assisted with the crash scene. The crash is still under investigation.
