USPIS Offering $50,000 Reward For Info On Dorchester Armed Robbery Suspect

DORCHESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The United States Postal Inspection Service is offering a $50,000 reward for information on a suspect who robbed a Dorchester letter carrier at gunpoint late last year.

Police said the armed robbery occurred on Dec. 4, 2022 at 3 p.m. in the area of 8 Atherstone St. in Dorchester.

Investigators have released photos of the suspect, who is described as a Black male, approximately 19 years of age, 5′8″ tall, dark-skinned, with a thin build. He was wearing a black thermal facemask, a blue and white hoodie under a black puffer coat, grey sweatpants, and black and white shoes/Crocs.

The most recent robbery of a United States Postal Service letter carrier happened on Jan. 4 in Peabody, while another occurred in Melrose on Dec. 10, 2022.
