WORCESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Worcester Red Sox have announced their inaugural hall of fame class.

Worcester Red Sox Chairman Larry Lucchino, former Worcester City Manager Ed Augustus Jr. and WooSox hitting coach Rich Gedman comprise the 2024 class.

Lucchino has been with the team since its inception in 2021. The team credited the former Boston Red Sox president with keeping the franchise in New England after leaving Pawtucket, R.I.

The Boston Red Sox inducted Lucchino into its hall of fame in 2016.
